Dear Subscribers,

I hope you had a super weekend.

This weekend, I spent some time on my next book.  I've estimated that it will take 250 more hours to complete, as I'm taking over 10,000 awesome quotations and placing them in about 75 different chapters.  Please pray for this endeavor because it will require a lot of time, work, and some money to publish.

By the end of this week, we will launch a new web site for my upcoming book ("10,000 Wise Quotes and Spiritual Sayings").  We are also going to have a pre-sale where you can purchase the book at a discount before it comes out.  If God leads you, please donate to this project, now.  We need $750 to complete our first printing.  After this first print run with a small publisher, we are going to give some copies to the notable, published authors I know, so they can consider recommending this one-of-a-kind book to their publisher for worldwide publication and distribution.

On Friday, I sent a message with links to all of my debates, including my most recent debate with atheist/lawyer Eddie Tabash.  However, I know that some of you received a garbled version of that email because of some coding in it.  If you'd like to download any of my debates, please click here.

This week, my wife is getting a Lasik eye surgery consultation and will probably get the surgery, too.  Please pray that it all goes well.  Ever since Sarine was young, she has needed strong glasses and contacts, so she is looking forward to 20/20 vision.

Welcome to the new readers of this message!  Here is your Devotion, A Moment of Introspection, JCSM's Challenge, the Word of the Week, a faith-builder from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained," and the Quotes of the Week.  Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

Love in Christ,

"God's Faithfulness to Believers"

Romans 8:28-30  "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

1 Corinthians 10:13  "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

2 Corinthians 12:9, 10  "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.'  Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake.  For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Philippians 1:6  "Be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

2 Thessalonians 3:3  "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."

2 Timothy 2:11-13  "This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him.  If we endure, We shall also reign with Him.  If we deny Him, He also will deny us.  If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."

1 John 1:9  "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Insight: God is faithful to believers.  He blesses us, keeps us from evil, helps us grow, and become prosperous.  Trust in Him and remember His faithfulness at all times.  He's there and He's your greatest ally.

Prayer: "Dear Lord, bless us and make us like You.  Thank you for being our amazing and perfect example.  There is no other God like You!  Forgive our sins and help us to remember that you're always faithful.  Praise You for your faithfulness.  People from all generations have lifted You high because You and You alone are faithful.  In Jesus' name, Amen."

America's Foundation

Henry Bowen Anthony (1815- 1884), was a United States Senator, who, on January 9, 1872, delivered a eulogy of Roger Williams in Congress:

He knew, for God, whose prophet he was, revealed it to him, that the great principles for which he contended, and for which he suffered, founded in the eternal fitness of things, would endure forever. He did not inquire if his name would survive a generation. In his vision of the future he saw mankind emancipated from.... the blindness of bigotry, from the cruelties of intolerance. He saw the nations walking forth into the liberty wherewith Christ had made them free.

A Moment of Introspection

Revelation is the only book of the Bible that promises a blessing if you read it.

JCSM's Challenge

Remind yourself throughout the day that God is faithful.  When you look at your watch or when you look out the window, remember that He is there and will always be there!  He will see you through everything and anything.

God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!

Word of the Week

pistos (Greek, see 1 John 1:9): objectively trustworthy; subjectively trustful, believing, faithful, true

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims:

Exodus 22:16 - If you "entice" an "unmarried maid" to "lie" with you, then you must marry her, unless the father refuses to give her to you, in which case you must pay him the going price for virgins.

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds:

This "price" was a dowry.

(This explanation came from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained", by Dr. Jason Gastrich.  This book is on CD and gives over 4,000 answers to alleged Bible errors, regarding the entire Bible at http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.org.  There is also a 300 question workbook that accompanies the CD-ROM.)

Quotes of the Week

These quotes came from me, the Holy Spirit, A.W. Tozer, and Dan Prather.

We can completely trust God; even with our lives.

He will always be what He has always been.

All that God does agrees with all that God is.

We can trust God 100% of the time.

Because He is faithful, we can go to His Word and believe what is written.

God's faithfulness is revealed through the fulfillment of biblical prophecies.

God has promised to give us the resources we need to be successful.

When you see the way God gives you to escape sin, take it.

Sometimes, little slips lead to great falls.

Until you understand how something works, you shouldn't immediately fault it.  If you do, then you're doing so out of ignorance.
