JCSM is seeking a volunteer to do some light office work. If you are in our around San Diego and wish to help, please reply to this message via email or our contact form. Applicants need to be able to type at least 30 words per minute and know how to use a PC and the Windows operating system. 5-10 hours per week will be sufficient. If you've always wanted to donate to JCSM, but couldn't find the extra money, donating some of your time will be just as good!
Congratulations to everyone who fasted one day a week with us! It has been an awesome and trying experience. I know that everyone who participated was very blessed and will reap the benefits both now and for eternity.

"A New Year, A New Beginning!"
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
Psalm 51:9-12 "Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit."

Insight: The new year brings another chance to repent and live a godlier life. Some of us need to repent of big things, while others need to repent of little things. Either way, God always gives us the opportunity to repent, get things on track, and be refreshed. Use any opportunity you can to get things right and live a better, godlier life!
Prayer: "Dear Lord, thank you for being good and holy. There is no other like You. Thank you for loving us so much and giving us far more than we deserve. Help us to continually praise and thank You. Help us to repent and turn to You. Praise You for listening to us and giving us second, third, and fourth chances. Help us to avoid treading on your grace and mercy. We love You, Lord. We want to be like You. Bless us and lift us up. Give us joy, peace, wisdom, and love. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Make some new year's resolutions! Discuss them with God. When you confirm a handful of changes that you need to make, promise God you'll do them, have some friends hold you accountable, and make the necessary changes! You'll be blessed for drawing nearer to God.
