Hello! I hope you had an excellent week and weekend. This year's Worship Xcellence Conference was amazing, again. There was a great lineup of bands and speakers and you can click here to read my notes. I was also blessed to see a bunch of old friends and meet some new ones. If you missed it, you'll want to make time next year! On Saturday, Audio Adrenaline plays their farewell concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Let me know if you're going and we can meetup. My wife and I are looking forward to one last, spirit-filled, jumping-up-and-down, Audio A show. If you're in or near San Diego and aren't busy on Saturday, November 4, we'd be happy to have your help. We'll be unloading our 26' moving truck at our Pacific Beach home. Email me if you'd like more details. Please continue to pray for those who are fasting with JCSM. We have devoted one day each week to fast and pray. It's not too late to join us, so click here if you're interested. Once we get settled into our San Diego office, we'd like to have a weekly Bible study at the beach. We can have a BBQ, worship, and even a bonfire. Please reply to this email if you're interested. Welcome to the new readers of this message! Here is your Devotion, A Moment of Introspection, JCSM's Challenge, the Word of the Week, a faith-builder from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained," and the Quotes of the Week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you! Love in Christ, Jason Gastrich, Ph.D. Contact Us: http://jcsm.org/contact.php
JCSM's Weekly Devotions (click here to listen!) "Make Time to Worship the Lord" Joshua 1:8 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Jeremiah 17:7, 8 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit." Matthew 23:12 "And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Acts 13:22 "And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’" Insight: We all need to make time to worship the Lord. He is certainly worthy. God commands us to worship Him because it will inevitably help us and bless us as well. Don't miss out on one of the greatest blessings, one of the sweetest sacrifices, and one of the most therapeutic commands that God has given us. Prayer: "Dear Lord, bless us and lift us up. Make us like You. Remind us how awesome it is to worship You. Forgive us for not worshiping You enough. Forgive us for putting other things in front of You. Help us to put You back on the throne of our life. We love You, Lord. You are worthy of all our praise and devotion. In Jesus' name, Amen."
James Wilson (1742-1798), appointed as a Supreme Court Justice by President George Washington in 1789, held the distinction of being one six of the Founding Fathers to sign both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. James Wilson was very active in the Constitutional Convention, having spoken 168 times. He also, in 1790, became the first Law Professor of the University of Pennsylvania. In
the Pennsylvania Supreme Court records of Updegraph v. Commonwealth,
1824, Judge James Wilson is mentioned: If you'd like to have the citations for the footnotes above, please email us. If you'd like to see more quotes from those who framed and founded America, please click here: http://jcsm.org/AmericasFounders/.
Are you truly being obedient to the God's calling on your life?
Take 48 hours away from caffeine! Most Americans are addicted to caffeine and they don't even realize it. Although caffeine can help improve brain function, we probably don't want to be addicted to it. Taking 48 hours off can help break the addiction (or at least help you to see whether you're addicted or not)! God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims: Exodus 12:44 - "But every man's servant that is bought for money...." Once again, God shows his approval of slavery. "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds: God never gives His approval of slavery. However, He did make laws that gave servants rights. In the rest of this verse, we see that God explains how a servant can partake of the Passover meal. (This explanation came from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained", by Dr. Jason Gastrich. This book is on CD and gives over 4,000 answers to alleged Bible errors, regarding the entire Bible at http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.org. There is also a 300 question workbook that accompanies the CD-ROM.)
Besides my notes from the Worship Xcellence Conference (click here to read them), there are no new quotes this week. If you'd like to read past quotes, we have thousands in our archive! Visit http://quotes.jcsm.org.
