Hello!

I hope you're having a great day, today.

I'm excited to announce that my wife, daughter, and I found a very nice condo in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego county.  It's affordable and newer, with all kinds of amenities.  Thanks to everyone who prayed for this endeavor!  We will be moving there on November 3 and 4, so please continue to pray for all of the moving related expenses and issues.

Were you able to see The Missions, Apologetics, and Creation Bible Conference webcast, yet?  If not, what are you waiting for?  The free webcast was launched on Saturday and will be indefinitely online, so watch it whenever you have time.  I hope it's a blessing to you, as I lecture on God's character, Kent Hovind teaches on creation science, and Chuck Missler reveals the truth about The Da Vinci Code.

Here is what one person said after experiencing our latest Bible conference via webcast.  "I have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy, the lectures presented on your Bible conferences.  They help restore my faith in Evangelical Christianity, and just by playing and listening to them, I am convinced of the inerrancy of our beloved Bible."  Even if you don't have the time to watch and listen right now, you might want to click here and bookmark the page for future reference.

A special thanks goes to Pastor Howard Everett for donating enough photocopies to make a great number of workbooks.  The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained, The Collegiate Workbook accompanies our CD-ROM on apologetics.  Click either of those two hyperlinks for more information.

On Tuesday, my friend and co-laborer for Christ, Kent Hovind, is going on trial.  Please pray for him, his family, and his ministry, as he is pleading innocent of the government's charges regarding his financial endeavors.  Satan is trying to bring him down, but I know that God will be glorified in Kent's trials.

Welcome to the new readers of this message!  Here is your Devotion, A Moment of Introspection, JCSM's Challenge, the Word of the Week, a faith-builder from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained," and the Quotes of the Week.  Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

Love in Christ,

"All Things, Yes, All Things!"

Psalm 119:128-130  "Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.  Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them.  The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple."

Romans 8:28  "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

James 1:17  "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

Romans 11:33-36  "Oh how deep are the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unsearchable are his judgments, no man can fathom his ways.  Who has known the mind of the Lord or offered him any counsel?  Who has given to God that he should repay?  For from him and through him and to him, to God be all glory and praise.  From him and through him and to him are all things, are all things!"

Insight: God is good and right in all things.  He even makes all things work together for good to those who love Him!  Marvel at God's goodness and power.  All good things come from Him.

Prayer: "Dear Lord, bless us and make us like You.  Praise You for being good and thank you for giving us good gifts.  Let us recognize You as the source of all good things.  Praise You for being higher than us.  Increase our faith in You and help us trust You.  Remind us of your faithfulness in the past, so we can continue to trust You in the present and in the future.  In Jesus' name, Amen."

America's Foundation

George Read (1733-1798), was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, a signer of the Constitution of the United States, a delegate from Delaware to the Constitutional Convention, as well as a U.S. Senator and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Delaware.

As a youth, George Read studied at the seminary of the Rev. Dr. Allison at New London.  At the age of seventeen he began reading law with John Moland Esq., and two years later was admitted to the bar.¹

In 1769, he married the daughter of Reverend George Ross, who was the pastor of Immanuel Church in Newcastle for fifty years. George Read's wife was described as:

"Beautiful, her manners elegant her piety exemplary." ²

Known as "the father of Delaware," George Read wrote "the first edition of her laws" ³ as well as the Constitution of the State of Delaware.  The requirements stated in the Delaware Constitution necessary for holding office include:

"DELAWARE 1776.  Article XXII.  Every person who shall be chosen a member of either house, or appointed to any office or place of trust... shalI... make and subscribe the following declaration, to wit: "I _____ do profess faith in God the Father, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the holy scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration." 4

A Moment of Introspection

Sometimes, the things people say to you don't make sense until later.

JCSM's Challenge

God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!

Word of the Week

pas (Greek, see Romans 8:28): all, any, every, the whole, whatsoever

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims:

Exodus 12:43, 45, 48 - No stranger, foreigner, slave, or uncircumcised person can eat the passover.

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds:

God's covenant was with the Israelites. They were His chosen people. Therefore, they were required to obey specific laws of God in the Old Testament.

These verses actually explain how servants and strangers could partake in the Passover. They had to be circumcised. See verses 44 and 48.

(This explanation came from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained", by Dr. Jason Gastrich.  This book is on CD and gives over 4,000 answers to alleged Bible errors, regarding the entire Bible at http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.org.  There is also a 300 question workbook that accompanies the CD-ROM.)

Quotes of the Week

Only someone unfamiliar with winning would brag about a forfeit win.

Consider that people speak to you with their own set of insecurities and biases.

It's hard to be miserable in such a beautiful place.
