Hello! I hope you had a great week and weekend. Recently, I've been granted permission to post on an exclusive mail list. This list is run by some well-known atheists who like to discuss alleged Bible errors. I'm looking forward to this opportunity, so please pray that it goes well, as I defend the scriptures and the Christian faith in the lion's den. Please continue to pray for JCSM. We are always looking for ways to effectively reach the lost! Plus, we'd be happy to hear any ideas you may have because we know God speaks through people like you. Earlier this year, I wasn't sure whether or not I would be able to go to Louisiana Baptist University for my graduation. I'm happy to report that God has done a miracle and provided a way! Thanks to those who prayed about the situation. I'm looking forward to being in Shreveport to walk with my graduating class. Plus, there are several days of interesting lectures and workshops (by people like Chuck Missler and Bob Cornuke) before guest speaker Jerry Falwell gives our commencement address. It should be a wonderful time. Thanks to those who prayed about my guitar lessons. They went very well last week. I'm blessed to have some talented students who want to learn. Welcome to the new readers of this message! Here is your Devotion, A Moment of Introspection, JCSM's Challenge, the Word of the Week, a faith-builder from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained," and the Quotes of the Week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you! Love in Christ, Jason Gastrich Contact Us: http://jcsm.org/contact.php
JCSM's Weekly Devotions (click here to listen!) Psalm 25:5 "Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day." Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease." 1 Timothy 6:6 "Now godliness with contentment is great gain." Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" Insight: Are you rejoicing in God's will? Trust that God knows best. Don't fight His revealed will or His personal will for you. Rest in the knowledge that the One who knows everything has the best plan for you. Prayer: "Dear Lord, thank you for being perfect. Thank you for letting us relax about the fine details and even the big picture of life because it is in your hands. Help us to listen to You and closely follow your will. Praise You for being good! There is no other like You. Increase our faith in You and our love for You and others. Thank you for having awesome plans for us. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Luther Martin (1748-1826), was an American Revolutionary leader, who played an active role as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, having given 53 speeches. He proposed the "electoral college" system for selecting the President and strongly opposed a central government which would usurp the sovereignty of the states. He was the Attorney General of Maryland for 28 years, the longest record in American history, and was one of the most eminent lawyers in the United States. Luther Martin described himself as being devoted to: "The sacred truths of the Christian religion." ¹ ¹ M.E. Sometimes, the best letter you can ever send is the one you don't send.
Stop now and say a prayer for JCSM's ministry. Ask God how you could help get involved. He'll always use us if we don't stand in His way. God bless you as you meet this week's challenge!

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims: Genesis 47:29 - God promised to bring Jacob safely back from Egypt (Gen.46:3-4), but God doesn't keep his promise and Jacob dies in Egypt. "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds: Genesis 46:3 and 4 read, "And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes." The English words "thee up again" could also be translated differently, making them refer to Jacob's descendants. This was a promise to bring Jacob's lineage and descendants out of Egypt; which He does. (This explanation came from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained", by Jason Gastrich. This book is on CD and gives over 4,000 answers to alleged Bible errors, regarding the entire Bible at http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.org. There is also a 300 question workbook that accompanies the CD-ROM.)
Are you staring at the Son? When we're flexible and don't get in His way, He'll do awesome things! When Christians get knocked down, they get up and become even more determined to run this race to win. I find your beautiful mind in everything.
