All fruits and vegetables will be allowed. However, these will be the
primary ones in my diet during this fast.
In particular, I'll be blending orange juice, frozen strawberries, and frozen
bananas into a drink and having it regularly. I'll also be making my Red
Chowder Soup. The recipe is below.
Fruits: strawberries, bananas, apples, oranges, pineapple, dried fruits
(without added sugar), tomatoes
Vegetables: celery, lettuce, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower,
broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, artichokes, green beans, onion
Drinks: water, decaffeinated coffee, caffeine-free and calorie free soda,
100% vegetable juice, 100% fruit juices (e.g. apple, orange, pineapple,
apple/cherry, white grape/peach, etc.)
Other: homemade vegetable soup, tomato sauce
Red Chowder Soup Recipe Ingredients: 1/3 onion, chopped 2 carrots, chopped 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 large potato, diced 36 ounces of water (you can use 24 ounces now and 12 later to cool the soup
and make up for the water that evaporates) 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained (or 3 fresh tomatoes, or some
pasta sauce) 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce 1/4 teaspoon ground white or black pepper 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional) 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme (optional) 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (optional) 5 drops hot pepper sauce (optional) Directions: Add all ingredients. Cook over medium heat and simmer until the potato is
tender, about 20 minutes.
