"Keep On Praying"

Mark 1:35  "Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed."

Luke 21:36  "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Matthew 6:5  "When you pray . . ."

1 Thessalonians 5:17  "Pray without ceasing."

Ephesians 4:6  "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

Insight: Prayer is essential for the Christian.  During prayer, we commune with God; both talking to Him and hearing from Him.  Make time to pray.  You'll be blessed when you do.

Prayer: "Dear Lord, bless us.  Help us to keep on praying.  Thank you for your patience with us.  We love You, Lord.  Thank you for always listening to us and wanting to speak to us.  Help us to slow down and listen.  Praise You for being mighty.  Thank you for all of the things You teach and reveal to us through prayer.  There is no other God like You.  Increase our faith in You and our love for You and others.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

A Moment of Introspection

My next blessing is directly correlated to my next step of faith and obedience.

Type or print some scriptures and put them around your home.  It doesn't matter if you have nice pictures in frames.  Just put God's Word around your house, so you can be reminded of His love, power, and grace.

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims:

Genesis 26:12-14 - God blessed Isaac (like his father Abraham before him) with many slaves.

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds:

This verse doesn't mention anything about slaves; only servants. Nonetheless, the Bible never condones owning slaves. It only gives laws to curtail it and eventually end it. See 1 Corinthians 13 for God's will regarding the ethical treatment of other humans.
