1 Corinthians 15:54-57 "So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: 'Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?' The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 John 5:4, 5 "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"
Insight: Jesus has overcome the world. He lived on Earth and remained sinless. Since He overcame the world and gave us the Holy Spirit to live within us, we can overcome the world as well. Remember that the ultimate battle has already been won and claim Christ's victory in your life, today!
Prayer: "Thank you for overcoming the world. You are our awesome Lord. Thank you for maintaining a sinless life on the Earth! There is no other like You. Forgive our sins and help us to be perfect like You. Thank you for loving us as we fall short of your glorious ideal. Help us to be sensitive to your Spirit. Help us to call sin what You call it and repent when we do not obey You. Praise You for your faithfulness and thank you for giving us your awesome Word. Remind us to follow You and be mindful of your ways. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Robert Morris Page (1903-1970), was the physicist who invented pulsation radar used for the detection of aircraft. He served with the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C., received the U.S. Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Presidential Certificate of Merit and the IRE Fellowship Harry Diamond Memorial Award, as well as the Stuart Ballantyne Medal of the Franklin Institute. Robert Morris Page held thirty-seven patents, mostly in radar. He wrote:
"The authenticity of the writings of the prophets, though the men themselves are human, is established by such things as the prediction of highly significant events far in the future that could be accomplished only through a knowledge obtained from a realm which is not subject to the laws of time as we know them.
"One of the great evidences is the long series of prophecies concerning Jesus the Messiah. These prophecies extend hundreds of years prior to the birth of Christ. They include a vast amount of detail concerning Christ himself, His nature and the things He would do when He came - things which to the natural world, or the scientific world remain to this day completely inexplicable. - The Evidence of God in an Expanding Universe (New York: G.P. Putnam's Son's), p. 29. Willard Cantelon, New Money or None? (Plainfield, NJ: Logos International, 1979), p. 226.
Moses had an ordinary stick, but God showed him how He could transform something normal into something awesome.
Do you have something that God has given you? Let me put it another way. Do you recognize that the things you have are from God? If so, don't count them as small or useless. God has given them to you for a purpose and He will use them and your resources for His glory if you let Him.
Ask God how you can be used by Him. Ask Him how He can best use the things He has entrusted you with.

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained
"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims:
Genesis 12:13 - Abram makes his wife lie for him, by telling the Egyptians that she is his sister. But at least it was half-true, since she was his half-sister. Such incestuous marriages are condemned elsewhere in the Bible, but god makes an exception for Abram and Sarai. (See Gen.17:15-16 where God blesses their marriage.)
"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds:
At this point, marrying a close relative was not forbidden. The gene pool was still relatively pure and much purer than it is today. Later, God gave a law against intermarriage.
Abram's lying was not condoned. He should have told the truth.
