"Don't Forget Your Loud Time" - #354
Hello!
I pray you had a fantastic Easter.
How could Jesus stay in the tomb three days and three nights if he was crucified on Friday and rose on Sunday? The answer is quite simple, but some people don't know it. Please see the following site if you'd like an explanation: http://jcsm.org/biblelessons/3Days.htm.
Recently, I've found a web site that I like to call the Christian eBay. However, it provides free Christian auctions! You can find and list Bibles, Christian books, music, ties, computers, laptops, antiques, Christian gifts, Christian items, religious items, novelties, candles, etc. There are no listing fees and no commission charges, so go to http://www.christian-auctions.com if you'd like to see and use this great service.
I pray you are encouraged as you read this week's devotional message. I hope it feeds your soul and brings you closer to Christ.
This is your ministry, so please feel free to link to JCSM and forward these devotions to your friends and family. On JCSM, there are over 70,000 web pages of pictures, forums, midis, Bible lessons, humor, proverbial stories, links, devotions, poetry, prayer journals, and much more!
JCSM has encouraging sermons, exciting debates, and the Bible on MP3 online and you can freely stream and download them! Come and listen at http://sa.jcsm.org.
If you consider yourself either a theological scholar, a seeker, or a student of the Word, then you'll enjoy the Inerrancy Discussion Board. It's the #1 place for discussing the inerrancy of God's Word! Come and see: http://www.inerrancy.com (the Inerrancy Discussion Board is sponsored and administrated by JCSM).
Would you like to support God’s work on the web? If this ministry has touched you in a special way, please pray and consider sending a gift to JCSM. You can join us in our vision to reach people on the web with the good news! Either email me for more information or simply go here: http://vision.jcsm.org.
Visit the JCSM Study Center! We have over 750mb of resources like English and foreign Bibles, maps, ancient literature, commentaries, Greek and Hebrew dictionaries, and concordances and much more! Plus, it's all free. Link: http://study.jcsm.org.
Welcome to the new readers of this message! Here is your Devotion, A Moment of Introspection, JCSM's Challenge, the Word of the Week, a faith-builder from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained," and the Quotes of the Week. Have a fantastic week and God bless you!

JCSM's Weekly Devotions (click here to
listen!) Psalm 100:1, 2 "Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing." Psalm 147:1 "Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to
our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful." Matthew 28:19, 20 "'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with
you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen." Luke 11:1 "Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place,
when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, 'Lord, teach us to pray,
as John also taught his disciples.' So He said to them, 'When you pray,
say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your
will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily
bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is
indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from
the evil one.” Insight: It's important to have quiet time with the Lord, but it's
also important to have loud time. Have you shouted to the Lord, lately?
Have you sang praises to Him, today? Don't forget to have your loud time. Prayer: "Thank you for being worthy of our praise and devotion.
Thank you for loving us so much. Remind us to give you our loud time and
not just our quiet time. Praise You for being a complete God and wanting
us to be complete as well. Fill us with a song and let our lips praise
your Holy name. Increase our love for you and our faith in You. In
Jesus' name, Amen." George Gordon Meade (1815-1872), was the Major General of the
United States Army who led the Union troops to victory at the Battle of
Gettysburg, thus turning the tide of the Civil War. Colonel George Meade, the
son of General Meade, reported the facts surrounding his father's last days in
1872: "Death came suddenly, with the sound of a foot-fall. There
were a few days when friends waited on medical skill, but his heart was on the
country whither he was going. He looked to the Saviour, who was the only one in
Heaven or earth who could help him. He asked for the Holy Communion, and by the
Lord's table gathered manna for the last journey. The words of penitence and
the look of faith were blended with his dying prayers. General Meade's religious principles were exhibited in his
daily life, in his intercourse with his fellow men, and the Christian example he
set. As far as his outward profession of belief was concerned, he was an active
and attentive communicant in our Church from an early day, and died in the
triumphs of faith in the great Captain of his salvation." - 1872, as reported
by his son Colonel George Meade. Stephen Abbott Northrop, D.D., A Cloud of
Witnesses (Portland, Oregon: American Heritage Ministries, 1987), p. 315. Make sure you have two birthdays: your physical birth day and your spiritual
birth day. Otherwise, you will have two deaths: your physical death and
your spiritual death. If you have two birthdays, you'll only have one death: your physical death.
However, if you have only one birthday, then you'll have two deaths. Remember your loud time with the Lord! God bless you as you meet this week's challenge. Bethlehem (Hebrew): house of bread
The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected
and Explained "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims: Genesis 8:19 - When the animals left the ark, what would they have eaten? There
would have been no plants after the ground had been submerged for nearly a
year. What would the carnivores have eaten? Whatever prey they ate would
have gone extinct. And how did the New World primates or the Australian
marsupials find their way back after the flood subisided? "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained"
responds: Noah brought plenty of food for
these animals to eat. He even brought extra animals, so he could
offer an animal sacrifice to God without making some "kind" of
animal go extinct. After the Great Flood,
there was an ice age where many things became frozen and subsequently
defrosted. Therefore, there was a point, after the Great Flood,
where places like the Bering Straight and the path to Australia were not
covered with water. The animals crossed these paths (and some were
chased, like the weak marsupials in Australia) and went in all directions. (This explanation came from "The Skeptic's Annotated Bible:
Corrected and Explained", by Jason Gastrich. This book is on CD and
explains over 3,000 difficulties regarding the entire Bible at
http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.org. There is also a 300 question
workbook that accompanies the CD-ROM.) The death of Jesus relieved His critics. To some, Jesus' death wasn't like losing a loved one; it was like losing the
one they desperately needed their whole lives. Jesus didn't gravitate to the famous people. You can be a Christian without fully understanding the resurrection, but you
can't be a Christian without believing in the resurrection. Jesus preached to the two men on the road to Emmaus by using the Old
Testament. Emmaus was about 7 miles from Jerusalem and would have taken about 2 hours to
walk there. Jesus' death was the end of the beginning. After realizing they met Jesus, the two men in Emmaus walked all the way back
to Jerusalem that night because they were excited about the risen Christ! Without the resurrection, Jesus' death is meaningless. The fact of the resurrection gives us freedom. These quotes came from God, me, and Dr. David Jeremiah. Do you need more quotes? We have thousands in our archives! They
are located here:
http://quotes.jcsm.org. These quotes can be used for sanctification and fun. Most of them are
directly based on scripture and scriptural principles. Some of the quotes are
humorous or rhetorical, others are written from sermons and Bible studies, and
some
are lyrics from songs. If you’d like me to go into more detail on any of them,
please email me. Like most verses in the Bible, they can be debated. To use what I’ve written
in the most beneficial way, try and trace them back to the scriptures and apply
the true principles to your life in a meaningful way! Please don’t sell my
quotes or publish them for profit. If English is not your first language, you
may not understand some of the quotes. I'm sorry, but some of them are English
metaphors and deal with multiple word meanings. God bless you all! Please make a commitment to pray for this ministry. As every believer is
tempted and tried, this ministry faces trials also. God has blessed me, JCSM and
the people who have been reached! Unfortunately, the enemy knows this and
spiritual warfare is the result. Please at least pray that the devotions
continue to be written religiously, the web pages stay on the www and the
readers are blessed, sanctified and protected from evil. Thank you very much
in advance! Do you want to help people receive the good news? We’re
reaching new people every day with God’s awesome Word! If God has blessed you
and you wish to send a love offering to JCSM, please send your gift to the
address below. You can join our vision and help this ministry! Your donations will keep
these ministries running and further our visions for evangelism. Hundreds of web
pages have been created to lead people to the Lord. Frequently, we make new ones
and they are used to bring more and more people into a closer relationship with
Jesus Christ. We’re certain there will be more ways to reach people in the
future. JCSM is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. If you wish to contact us in the mail or send support, please make checks
