"The Sin Problem and Solution"

Romans 3:23  "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 7:22-25  "For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.  But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  O wretched man that I am!  Who will deliver me from this body of death?  I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Romans 6:23  "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 5:8  "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 10:9, 10  "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

1 John 5:13  "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."

Insight: Each one of us has a sin problem.  Sin isn't a racial thing and it has nothing to do with the sexes.  Sin is a human thing.  We all need to repent from our sins and trust in the only, perfect Savior to forgive and redeem us.  Only Jesus Christ can do this and give us eternal life.

Prayer: "Thank you for showing us our sins.  Help us to call them as you see them.  Forgive us for making excuses.  Forgive us for running from You, Lord.  Bless us and make us like You.  Remove our worries and fears.  Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die on a cross for our sins.  Thank you for the resurrection!  Help us to understand what He did for us and how we can be saved in Jesus' name.  We love You, Lord.  Increase our faith and our ministry.  Let us build on the Rock that is You.  In Jesus' name, Amen."

America's Foundation

Alfred Holt Colquitt (1824-1894), was a U.S. Senator, an orator and statesman, as well as the Governor of Georgia.  On December 7, 1887, in Washington, Alfred Holt Colquitt spoke at the Evangelical Alliance.  He said:

"I believe it is the mission of the ministers today, and of Christian laymen in this land, to go out into the fields and highways and meet the enemies that are seeking to place barriers in the way of Christian civilization - to meet the foe as he comes.

Religion and politics ought to be wedded like a loving pair.  The spirit of our Master, who
preached peace, should preside at our diplomatic councils.  The love of our neighbor and of our friends - these should be the bases, not only of our Christianity and our patriotism, but of our daily politics.

I like to hear learned sermons and magnificent discourses - appeals purely to the intellect - abstract and abstruse ideas, and all that.  But looking at the masses of mankind, and reviewing from the standpoint which I occupy, it is clear to me that there is a mission given to every lover of Christ to stand forth as the propagator of that religion which tempers the politics and statesmanship of this country." - December 7, 1887, in an address at the Evangelical Alliance in

A Moment of Introspection

Have you taken stock of your life, recently?  Have you asked yourself what the next, reasonable step of faith should be?

Ask God which step (or leap) of faith you should take next!  Christianity isn't turning over a new leaf.  It's receiving a new life!  The old is passed away and all things are new.

God will always teach those that seek Him.  Get ready for more faith and a blessed life.  Get ready to please Him more.  Ask Him what You should do and be prepared for His answer.  Consider writing it down so you don't forget.

The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible" claims:

Genesis 6:19-20 - Poor Noah must be confused. First God tells him to bring two of "every living thing of all flesh" onto the ark. Later (7:2-3) God says to bring seven pairs of some animals (the "clean beasts" and the fowls).

"The Skeptic's Annotated Bible: Corrected and Explained" responds:

This is correct. This is so Noah could sacrifice some of them (which he did) without ending an entire kind's population. This was also so they could eat some of them after the Great Flood.
